Kamala Harris shared her vision for America

As we head into Labor Day weekend, we are also heading towards the true crunch time of the general election. And Democrats will be heading into these 67 days with their newly-minted nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, and a *lot* of Kamalamentum.
Vice President Harris officially accepted the Democratic nomination last Thursday night to an absolutely packed stadium in Chicago (and, as people who were there and attempting to find seats, we mean PACKED!).
The VP used her speech to re-introduce herself to the public: she started with her parents’ respective stories as immigrants searching for the American dream and pledged to ensure that the dream would continue. She also drew a sharp contrast between herself and Donald Trump, highlighting her commitment to freedoms like voting rights, reproductive rights, and the right to clean air and water. She also blasted Trump for being in billionaires’ pockets and doubled down on her commitment to the middle class.
All in all, the night seemed to be a feather in the cap of the Vice President, who is coming off a record-breaking fundraising month. An estimated 26.2 million people tuned into her speech, beating out viewership of Donald Trump’s RNC speech back in July – and that’s not even counting people who may have streamed it on social media.
While VP Harris didn’t actually garner the typical “bump” in support following the DNC (which could potentially be due to the fact that the vibes were already really, really good), it’s clear that her and her team are coming in hot for these final two months.
